How Design Thinking Helps Projects

Design thinking is the process of developing empathy (thinking like your consumer),
getting feedback, revising, and building. This is a cycle that continues over and over again,
hopefully turning out a better product each time. Design thinking can help to make a
project better because if you think like you customer and take feedback from them, you will
inevitably create a product that they will be happier with. In DM Inc., we used design
thinking to create the dance. We came up with ideas that we thought other kids would like,
asked questions about the last dance, and revised our original ideas to create a (hopefully),
better Del Mar Dance. During this process, I learned more about successful marketing and
how to make things better according to who your customer is.
