The Personication of Death
Death is the narrator of the beginning of
the story and is talking about how he
sometimes gets attached to some people
when Liesels little brother died Death
became attached to Liesel. Death has the
unfortunate job of carrying peoples souls
which is about to become a big job
because World war 2 is coming up.

Max and Liesel
Max and Liesel are alike in many ways their parents are
either dead or left them which makes them both
orphans. Max is jewish which is a bad thing at this time
because the Nazis sought to kill all people who were
jewish. Max was hidden in the Hubbermanns basement
only the Hubermanns and Liesel new that he was down
there and they wanted it to stay that way. Because they
are hiding a jew if they are caught they will be killed. I
think that the author choose to make Max and Liesel so
similar is to show that even though Max is jewish
there is no difference.

Signicant events
Rudy has a crush on Liesel but Liesel does not like rudy
back she only sees him as a friend. The signicant event
that strengthens their relationship i think is when they
steal together or walk to school together. Ilsa and Liesel
have weird relationship Liesel brings her their landry and
Ilsa lets Liesel read books from her library. Hans is Liesel
foster father and is probably the nicest person in her life
Hans is a kind and loving father. Rosa is Liesels foster
mother and is very strict.

Life is Unfair
Max is jew in a time were jews are being hunted by a
crazy mad dictator called hitler. Max had his mother
taken away from him when he went looking for a place
to hide.lucky for him the Hubermanns helped him or he
would have most surly died. Life for max is unfair
because he had to hide for something that he believes in
everyone is the same no matter what they believe in.

Hans the Hero
I think that Hans Hubermann is the biggest hero in the
Novel because when people could not afford to repaint
their house Hans would sometimes do it for free. Hans is
a very kind and loving person to his family and his new
foster child Liesel. He has shown her how to read and
acted like a real father. He has helped Max a jewish
fugitive. Hans is most deantly the biggest hero in the
novel.
