Quick manual for the Galaxy S2 Indian Firmware upgrade :

(Worked only on the Phones brought from Korea. Non LTE phones.)
1. Go to download mode by
Power off the mobile.
Hold the volume down key, home button and power button together.
A screen will come showing something in Korean language.
Press Volume up key.
2. Start the Odin tool in your PC.
3. Connect the Mobile to PC using USB cable.
4. Odin will detect the Mobile and shows the yellow color in the first block of the tool.
5. Check all the options(Repartition, reboot etc..).
6. Select the *.pit file by clicking the PIT button.
7. Select the *.md5 file by clicking the PDA button.
8. Press start button.
9. It will take few mins. And it will show the progress on the phone as well as on the Odin.
And once the flashing is done, Odin will show PASS in green color and phone will
reboot.
10. Now there are some fixes need to be done for some issues like improper screen lock etc.
For this you need to boot your phone into to root mode. To do that, flash another image
into phone.
11. Go to download mode same as step 1.
12. Press reset button on Odin tool. Make sure that repartition is unchecked.
13. Press PDA button and select *.tar file.
14. Press START button. This will be quick flash and phone will automatically reboot in
root mode.
15. Connect the phone to Internet and download efs file manager or es file explorer and
install it.
16. Open the efs file manager or es file explorer (whichever you installed) and go to
setting(menusettings). Enable Up to Root option.
17. Come back and press Up button. Go up to path /efs/imei.
18. Create a new file with name keystr (case sensitive). And open the new text file. Write
ON in the file and save it.
19. Do a factory reset.
Home -> menu->Settings->Backup and reset->(Uncheck all the option if you
dont need any back up)->press Factory data reset.
20. Now reboot the phone once and its ready to use with Indian network.
