TASTE: Ederra 2011, Bodegas Bilbainas

Good afternoon and thanks for coming to the tasting of this

wonderful wine.
The wine that Im going to talk about is called EDERRA. It belongs
to one of the oldest estates in La Rioja, that is Bodegas Bilbainas.
First of all I can tell you that this wine is a red Crianza from 2011,
and it is 100% made from Tempranillo grapes.
Once introduced, lets proceed to the tasting itself.
Firstly, Im going to pour it off. As you can see, it has / it hasnt
some harmless sediment. Its intense garnet color attracts us at a
first glance. I must say that this is clean brilliant wine with a lot of
tears.
What Im going to do next is to swirl the wine. By swirling it, were
instensifying its aroma and bouquet. Now, I gently smel it and I can
feel red fruits and vanilla, which indicates the wine ageing in
American oak. Definitely, it has an honest and persistent bouquet.
Finally, Ill do a mouthful of wine I feel the same aromas that I
smelt a while ago. On the palate, it tastes round. It has an excellent
body and a nice long finish.
Concerning the pairing, it combines well with pastas, red meats and
roasts, big games and cheeses.
Well, thats all I can tell you about this red Crianza. I hope you
enjoyed the experience and once more, thank you for your attention!
See you around
