The Flamboyant
On a warm day of summer, the flamboyant allows us to use its shadow to cover
from the hot sun. Lying above the green meadow, the grass seems to be smooth, bright
and vivid, observing the blue sky all covered with whitish clouds that play to form
figures. Looking towards the horizon, only the peak of the mountain is visible. Looking
straight, there is a fence dividing the meadow from a highway and a little house nearby.
There, lying down on the grass, you can feel a sense of security while the breeze caresses
the branches of that strong and firm flamboyant. You can also perceive the scent of fresh
air all mixed up with the aroma of the small red flowers that decorate the big tree.
Touching the tough and rough bark of the flamboyant, it feels as if this tree has remained
alive and powerful for many years, offering its shadow.
