Calculating Co-efficient of rolling friction by experimental procedure:

S =distance travelled by the pellet,


t =time required to traverse S distance with an acceleration a
u initial velocity of the pellet

Procedure:
The particle was placed at the top end of the plate. The plate was lifted with the help of the screw jack
attached below the plate. After a certain height the particle rolls down.
This whole phenomenon is recorded by a high speed camera. By doing a frame by frame analysis we
can find the time taken (t) for the pellet to roll from one end to another as well as the distance
traversed (S).
To convert pixel to mm a calibration was done prior to the experiment.
