Activity Summary: The learner will click and drag the four main components of the water
cycle and their definitions to the corresponding clip art pictures. The purpose of this activity is
to enhance students knowledge and increase their recognition of the water cycle components.
Learning Objective: Given pictures of the four components of the water cycle, as well as the
names of each and their definitions, the learner will correctly identify them and group them
together with 100% accuracy.
Grade Level Expectation: GLE 0407.8.1 Recognize the major components of the water cycle.
State Performance Indicators: SPI 0407.8.1 Identify the basic features of the water cycle and
describe their importance to life on Earth.

DEFINITIONS
When the sun heats up Earths surface waters and turns it into
vapor or steam
When water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid
This occurs when so much water has condensed that it fills the
air and falls back to Earth

the cycle starts all over again
