Romania has a diverse flora due to the five biogeographical regions in

the country: Alpine, Continental, respectively, Panonian, Steppe and Black Sea
coast.
The Carpathian Mountains with landscapes and wonderful places at
every step, with forests and wide meadows, valleys and glacial lakes, caves.
In Romania there have been identified 3,700 plant species from
which to date 23 have been declared natural monuments, 74 missing, 39 are
endangered, 171 vulnerable and 1,253 are considered rare.
Nowadays, the forests cover 27%
of the land surface out of approximately 80%
as they did in the old times, causing a
significant degradation in the environment
and an alarming loss of biodiversity and
extinctions.

Danube Delta is a very large area that stands under the waters, and it is
located where the river Danube runs into the Black Sea. The flora and fauna of the
Danube Delta is very rich. delta is covered by several trees and plants, over 1200 species,
that make the place like tropical region, with lianas climbing the trees, reeds, the lakes
are covered with water lilies that make the atmosphere real majestic. On the sand banks
grow the trees like willow and poplars.
