It follows three anonymous high school seniors, Thomas, Costa, and JB, who decide to throw a party that no one will forget and document it with a camera. Their small get together quickly escalates out of control as more and more people show up. Though the plot has some holes, the documentary style footage of the escalating party mayhem makes for an entertaining watch, especially with friends.

    making.Butnothingcouldpreparethemforthisparty.

    Review:

    ProjectXisafilmthat,onpaper,doesnotappealtomeatall.Ipredictedit
    tobealowbudgetfilmwithsomeunmemorablegagsandapoorplot.I
    waswrong.Itwasasurprisinglygoodfilm.Theplotdid,asanticipated,
    containseveralholesandyoucouldn'thelpthinking"surelythatwouldn't
    havehappened"butafterallitwasbasedonatruestory.

    Thefilmisbasedonsomeunpopularhighschoolstudents,(Thomas,
    CostaandJB)whothrowapartywhenoneoftheirparentsgoesawayfor
    theweekendanditquicklyescalatesoutofcontrol.Thefilmisseemingly
    shotbytheirfriendDexonaportablecameraandsomeothervideosina
    documentarystylesequence.Thereisagoodbalanceofdialogue,
    montagesofgeneralpartymayhemandThomascompletelystressingout
    andthefilmsgreatforwatchingwithafewofthelads.
