air, calculate the force on each source.

2. Calculate the force that atracts an electron to a proton in a hydrogen atom, if the (3)
diameter of a hydrogen atom is approximately 0.1 * 10-9 m.

3. Two equally charged table tennis balls are suspended on an insulated thread such
that they are 3.00 cm apart and repel each other with a force of 4.00 x 10 -5 N.
Calculate the charge on each table tennis ball.

(3)

4. Calculate the distance apart that two point charges of +5.00 *10-9 C and
- 3.90 * 10 -12 C must be in order to experience a force of 1.00 N.

5. Three +20.0 10 -3 C point charges are placed in line with 2.00 m separatng each
successive charge. Calculate the total force on the point charge on the right hand
end.

(a proton) in a circular path of radius 52.9 * 10 -9 m. Calculate the speed of the
electron in its orbit. (Centripedal force)
