PARTIAL CLOSURE OF THE 'BOWTIE' TURNAROUND

Like all good uses of organizational social media, we can take public feedback under
consideration and take action accordingly. With regard to the closure of the bowtie
turnaround, we have taken note of the various comments and suggestions and, after some
review, and keeping road safety in mind, it has been decided that ONLY THE EAST TO
WEST SEGMENT OF THE BOWTIE TURNAROUND WILL BE CLOSED FROM MON JULY
14, 2014. The WEST TO EAST TURN WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL COMPLETION OF
THE PROJECT.


As such, motorists travelling East wishing to go West will still be required to:
Proceed East along Mucurapo Road, make a left onto Luckput Street, then proceed
North to the Western Main Road (WMR) - during peak hours (6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.)
Proceed East along the WMR, make a left onto Mucurapo Road and then a right
towards Cocorite Fishing Complex and onto the Audrey Jeffers Highway (AJH) -
during off-peak hours.
We have also noted comments about errors and defects on some of the works executed
thus far on the DMHEP. Please note that all defects/errors will be corrected at the
contractors expense before completion of the project. The DMHEP is on schedule for
completion by the end of July 2014.
