Description of activity undertaken (please be as specific as possible)
As part of her advertising strand and as part of her filming and editing strand, the class were asked to demonstrate
their understanding of editing techniques by producing a footage log, asset log and EDL to demonstrate their
understanding of preparing for an edit. Davinas EDL was a product of her advertising work.

Assessment criteria (to which the activity provides evidence)
Strand 2:
Be able to prepare moving image material for editing

How the activity meets the requirements of the assessment and grading criteria (please explain
how the learner met the criteria and the qualitative aspects of their performance)
Students were required to prepare work for an edit by checking material for faults; synchronising rushes; producing
a rushes log; marking up a script; labelling tapes; storing tapes or film; producing an edit decision list; creating bins;
clarifying the purpose of the work with a client or director

Davina produced this document to a high standard but lost the work due to the computer needing to be re imaged
as well as the original edit, meaning she could not reproduce the EDL for this edit.
