The cause for the Arab-Israeli war lies in
the claim of two national movements
(Arabs and Jews) on the same land, and
particularly the Arab refusal to accept Jews
in a part of that land.

The Battle of Haifa was an operation
carried out on 2122 April 1948. The
objective of the operation was the capture
of the Arab neighborhoods of Haifa.
The Battles of Latrun were a series of
military engagements between the Israel
Defense Forces and the Jordanian Arab
Legion on the outskirts of Latrun between
25 May and 18 July 1948.
