To Whom It May Concern,
It gives me great pleasure to write to you to recommend Megan Blackman for the University of Colorado Nursing Loan Forgiveness program. I am a Clinical Nurse who has worked on the inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology Unit at The University of Colorado Hospital for five years. I was one of Megans preceptors during her orientation as a Clinical Nurse on our unit, and have also worked with her several times since she has started practicing on her own. During that time, I have become familiar with Megan and can vouch for her character and abilities.
Megan is wonderful to work with due to her friendly and fun personality, her great sense of humor, and her hard working, can-do attitude. Our unit is an extremely busy and challenging one, but Megan has proved herself equal to the task. She always portrays a calm and pleasant demeanor, even when things get stressful. When I see I am going to work a shift with Megan, I know that she will get things done.
Megan is a very competent and skilled nurse. I was very impressed with her thorough charting, even after she was only shown once how to document something in EPIC. She is careful to always complete her required work, making certain that the little things are never overlooked. Megan is also very interested in learning new things. During her orientation, she frequently asked very intelligent questions in an attempt to expand her knowledge. Shes a real go-getter.
In conclusion, I have no hesitation recommending Megan for the loan forgiveness program. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any further information.
