Greetings of Peace!

The University Student Council of Western Mindanao State University, being one of the most
excellent student councils in region IX has finally come to its time of having new sets of officers that will
continue to uphold and promote its core principles of leading and serving the entire student populace of
the institution.
Various student leaders conveyed their interest of running for public office and had formed and
came up already with their group of supporters and even carried their own political banners named as
Buklod, JuanWMSU and the Independent Line-up.
As incumbent officers of the Student Council of WMSU, forming the Independent group, we
strongly adhere to the provisions on Article II, Section 13 of the 1987 Philippines Constitution which
freely expresses that, the State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-building and shall
promote and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being. It shall inculcate
in the youth patriotism and nationalism, and encourage their involvement in public and civic affairs.
One of the main constraints of the group, as we are planning to run for the position again, is the
finances for all campaign materials and resources that will be needed for us to run a smooth campaign
process in all the External Studies Units of WMSU.
In line with this, we would like to seek for financial assistance from your good office to suffice
the finances that might be incurred throughout the campaign period.
May this build an atmosphere of growing relationship among every one of us as we continue to
serve the entire community.
