Overview of the role
To deal with a wide range of matters, sometimes of a confidential nature, on behalf of the manager
of your department. The post-holder will report to the Workplace entor.
Responsibilities/duties
Act as the first point of contact for !isitors, students and customers
"eal effecti!ely with postal correspondence, telephone calls and emails, di!erting to other staff
where appropriate.
aintain record-keeping and filing systems and photocopy as necessary
"e!elop successful working relationships with !isitors, students and staff colleagues across the
department
Person Specification
Essential
#$cellent timekeeping skills
The ability to work independently, with minimum super!ision, and know when to refer issues to
others
The ability to work to deadlines
Ability to use standard computer programs %&utlook, Word, #$cel'
(re!ious e$perience of working as part of a team
Desirable
#$perience of working in a customer facing work en!ironment
Some e$perience of financial administration, including the ability to be numerate and accurate, with
e$cellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
