ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: At the time the fire was discovered, a neighbor noticed smoke coming
from the home. The investigation into the cause revealed that a witnessed lightning strike hit the
home during a severe thunderstorm passing through the area. No one was home at the time of the
strike or when the fire was discovered. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire and the
house was a complete loss.
