Grupo 0,29
about us
Group 0,29 is composed by artist dedicated to creative writing, performance
art, research, activism, editorial projects, video, photography , among other
activities; we are interested en generating alternatives that may link the art
practice with other disciplines, working from the use of Tactical Media, free and
at distance education, direct action (as public art) and a social-driven projects.
Also, 0,29 is looking to collaborate in projects along groups with different back-
grounds and interests, expanding our field-of-work and operative capabilities.
During the last two years, 0,29 has participated of differet activities such as
a worgroup called Activism beyond citizenship and State at the VII Encuentro
Hemisfrico 2009, organized by the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and
Politics from New York University and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, in
August of 2009; besides a wokshop was developed: Tactical use of media and
civil disobedience, as part of the Experimenta Colombia media arts festival,
one of the most influential new media art events in the country. In this oportu-
nity we worked with sstudents from the International Education Program (PEI) of
the the Universidad Javeriana.
The Group is in constant movement, and its latest activities can be followed

and artstcal references, among others.

according to the specic need of each partcipant.

Metodology. Translated as Collectve Self-teaching
Programs
1
, this 0,29 project explores the possibilites of pro-
posals that understand collectve teaching/learning as work-
shop model. In this sense, the CSP (or PAC as in Spanish) are
understood as an alternatve to traditonal academic postures;
on them, collectve and reexive knowledge building is pro-
moted on every subject of study. A CSP oers a base content
that can be modied or placed on discussion by the other users
of the program, stmulatng a critcal approach to the subjects
of each Program, at the same tme that motvates networking.
Reading materials and dierent prints, visual and conceptual
references and audiovisual content, support each session. The
content of each CSP and other support materials are developed
by 0,29 under a Open Source-type license. Therefore, readings
and others materials under restricton policies may have suf-
fered dierent transformatons in order to create a free of
charge policy in response to (many) copyright laws.
1: The concept of CSP, (in Spanish PAC,
literally Programas de Autoenseanza
Colectva) comes from the translaton
of the concept Teach-In that appears
on The Collins Dictonary (Self-teaching
meetng) and the partcularites that
made them famous during the tme of
the US interventon on Vietnam.
Teach-Ins were born as an alternatve
discussion scene installed in middle of
orthodox academies, for discussion
and research about current politcal
issues, which by the was impossible.
For example, a Tech-In that took place
on Michigan University in May of 1965,
began with a simple debate about Viet-
nam War and ended with a pacical
hijack of the Insttuton.
To Do
the media
To Do in the media is a theorical/practcal space where,
through historical, cultural, social, and artstcal refer-
ences, the partcipants will be able to recognize alternatve
ways of producing and sharing informaton, stmulatng
the elaboraton of new working tools that respond to the
specic needs of each context, startng by using every day
life (easy acces) materials.

the critcal dimension of consumpton and at the same
