MD110

The i ntel l i gent MD110 functi ons as a hi gh-capaci ty di gi tal voi ce-data PBX,
carryi ng di gi tal voi ce, data, and vi deo transparentl y throughout the same
networked system. The network can consi st of on-premi se hard-wi red,
wi rel ess nodes, or wi de area networked l i nks. The MD110 operates i n a
coherent si ngl e system mode and offers customi zabl e capabi l i ti es.
The NT-based MD110 al l ows ful l computer tel ephony i nternetworki ng wi th
computer-supported tel ephony systems. The MD110 contai ns LI Ms (Li ne
I nterface Modul es) that can be di stri buted throughout a si te, and i s managed
from a termi nal usi ng the MD110 propri etary i nterface.
Eri cssons SNMP Agent serves as an i nterface between the MD110 and a TCP/
I P LAN. Thi s agent popul ates the agent mi b by i nterrogati ng the MD110 over
the propri etary i nterface. Connecti on to the TCP/I P network can exi st vi a
Ethernet, V.24, or Token Ri ng. The SNMP Agent can exi st as a stand-al one
uni t for a si ngl e MD110, or i n a chassi s package i ncl udi ng up to ei ght agents.

i nformati on necessary to manage the MD110 wi th Eri cssons SNMP agent and
the Management I nformati on Bases (MI Bs) i ncl uded wi th the management
modul e.
A SPECTRUM Management Modul e i s a software emul ati on of a physi cal
devi ce or appl i cati on (represented by i cons i n the user i nterface.) These i cons
provi de status at a gl ance through the use of a col or code, and access to
i n-depth i nformati on on the devi ces congurati on and operati ng acti vi ty.
The model type name refers to the model s used to speci fy attri butes, acti ons,
and associ ati ons for the devi ce i n SPECTRUM. The MD110 Management
Modul e supports one model type, MD110_PBX. Refer to the

Admi ni strator s
Reference

for model i ng i nstructi ons.

Accessing SPECTRUM Views from the Device Icon

The Devi ce i con provi des access to SPECTRUM vi ews that di spl ay
devi ce-speci c i nformati on. Access SPECTRUM vi ews usi ng doubl e-cl i ck
