There are three une'cused a3sences for this course. 5ach additional a3sence may result in a letter grade drop of
your semester grade

6our pro,ect grades will 3e 3ased on your mastery of the techni7ue on indi8idual pro,ects. They count as #(9 of your
grade. 6our final portfolio with a written criti7ue of what you consider your 3est wor1 will count as #(9 of your grade.
6our final portfolio will consist of the pro,ects wor1ed on for the semester as well as any e'tra wor1s you may wish to
include and a written criti7ue of what you consider your 3est wor1. If you su3mit e'tra wor1s, they will 3e graded and all
the wor1s in the portfolio will 3e graded and averaged toget$er. This can 3e to your 3enefit as the more paintings you
do, generally the 3etter they 3ecome. :resentation of the wor1 is an important component of this grade. It should 3e neat
and ready for a professional 8iewing. The rest of the portfolio grade will 3e 3ased upon the e8idence it presents of your
