Rationale: I have included this artifact on understanding the selection, integration, and
utilization of appropriate technologies throughout the mathematics curriculum under Standard 5B.
I feel the assignment belongs under this standard because I was able to explore mathematics using
online resources. For this assignment, I had to set up a problem using the given information and
interpret the results. I came to understand that math is not just pencil, paper and calculator. As
technology evolves, so does the possibilities of using technology in the classroom. In my future
teaching, I will strive to enrich the lives of all my students and enhance the classroom climate
through having them experience available technology that enhances their understanding of the
concepts we are learning in class.
