Computer Rules for the Classroom

Always include your name in a message. Include a greeting (Hellos Ms. G, Dear Ms. G) Always a subject that describes the point of the message. Do not try to sarcastic or vulgar. Always use appropriate language in regards to the reader. Spelling and grammar still matter.

RESPECT EVERYONES PRIVACY. Do not resend others emails or messages without their consent.

Respond to emails in a timely manner. Avoid participating in junk mail. Junk mail includes, but is not limited to: chain mail, promotions, and rumors.

Be specific and do not ramble. Email should probably not be longer than one screen page.

Use emotion icons when appropriate. Do not overuse them and keep the reader in mind when using them. Do not write anything online that you would not like your

family seeing.
