yogel 782D is formulated with base fluid & gelling agents that volatilize and are non-carbon forming under arcing condi-
tions. It is used on high voltage electrical contacts at power substations. NyoGel 782D helps protect the sliding contact
surfaces by preventing wear and corrosion while the grease itself has excellent resistance to UV degradation. Also when
arcing occurs, the temperatures reached are sufficiently high to degrade any organic molecule; so a lubricants tendency to de-
grade in an innocuous manner is a definite advantage. NyoGel 782D burns away, leaving no carbon or other deposits that can re-
sult in the build-up of a resistive layer on the contact surface and thus preventing resistance, overheating and even a fire hazard.
NyoGel 782D has had proven success on power substation electrical contacts around the world.
