Measurement Lab

Objectives: To measure the dimensions of a wood block using dm, cm & mm rulers,
then compute the volume in each unit, convert the volumes to cubic meters.
Purposes: to practice proper measuring techniques; to practice correct signifcant
fgure & scientifc notation rules in both measurements & calculations; to review
metric conversions, including cubic units; to consider the dierence between
accurac! & precision; to consider the usefulness of percent uncertaint!; to become
acquainted with lab e"pectations.
