Birthdays!

We love to celebrate birthdays in first grade! On or near your childs birthday, we will
make your child a birthday book and your child may choose a new book from our Birthday
Book Shop to take home as a gift from the teachers. Each birthday child will stand on his
or her desk as we sing a birthday song and offer compliments! Princess Delores, our
special class puppet, ONLY comes out on birthdays. Children with summer birthdays will
celebrate half birthdays. Due to common birthdays, weekends or holidays, some
children will be assigned a date that is as close as possible to their actual birthday. We
look forward to celebrating your childs special day! No snacks pl ease. We will make
birthdays special without them!
