%ometo"n defnes ho" a person behaves and the current city defnes ho" a
person "ants to change. I think that the hometo"n has a much greater
impact on a person than the current city.
(ost people in this world do not li%e in their hometowns+ Why?
#ost people in the "orld have to leave their hometo"ns because they have

Describe a city you %isited3 where/ why and what liked and
dislike4
Id like to talk about Danang. Da nang is located in middle of
Vietnam. It "as "onderful trip "hen my father told me to go there
for holiday. I "as so excited. It is historic but modern at the same
time! its fashionable! peachful! lively! fun.. This is an attractive
place for not only tourisim but also vietnames people. Tourists go
to da nang to enjoy delicious and cheap foods.
4 it is famous for its culture! foods! beaches and services. There
are serveral restaurants! though the quality of good varied
considerably
4 .eople are very friendly and kind.
4 The "eather is extremely nice during summer
4 it "as nice to "alk around the beach
What kind o& tourist attractions are there in cities in your
country?
#ost Vietnam cities only have a couple of tourist attractions.
fe" cities such as da nang have mire. .ossible attractions include
old palaces! museums and temples. %o"ever! most Vietnam
people seem to prefer visiting cities for their more modern
attractions E like markets or shopping central. In some other cities
in Vietnam! one of the big tourist attraction is a to"er from "hich
you can take in vie"s of the "hole city and its surrounding
Where can people get in&ormation about %isiting cities?
There are four "ays of getting information about visiting cities in
da nang. 6ne is use the internet "here you fnd some information
and feedbacks about "here to ear! stay and visit. nother "ay is
to buy a tourist map. The tourist map usually have some tourist
information on it. (ou can also ask your family and friends "ho
have been to this city for some recommendations. This frst hand
information is very useful! I think. The last "ay is to buy a guide
book. These have many information! like the internet! but you can
take it "ith you easily
Do more people %isit cities nowadays than in the past?
(es! it certainly is. )or one thing! the transport system is much
better than before. There are more trains! buses and plants and
they are faster than previous.
nother thing is that the people have more money! so they can
a*ord to visit cities E at least city near their home if they live in
countryside. lso! it is more common no"adays to have friends or
relatives living in cities! so people go there to see them. #aybe
the relative or friend studied at a university in a city and stayed
there after graduation
What are some main problems the large cities ha%e?
I think living in large cities have several dra"backs. lmost people
regard tra$c jams as the biggest problems. .articulary! during
rush hours! it takes too long to get to and from "ork. nother
problem is that of pollution. #ost cities have a lot of factories and
these! combined "ith the cars! create big pollution problems!
people are able to su*er from health problems such as heart
disease! lung cancer or breathing problems. )inally! a lot of people
living in cities are also concerned about crime. They "ould like to
see measures taken to keep crime under control
How might cities deal with tra5c problems?
round the "orld! di*erent methods for dealing "ith tra$c
problems are being tried. I think that not one method can totally
"ork but some methods together is combination could solve this
problems4 or at least reduce it. #aking driving more expensive is
one "ay. The government could increase the price of petrol and
cars. The government could also provide better public transport in
some cities and make it easy to use. nother possible "ay is to
stop cars going into certain ares E particulary the centre of cities.
+omething else is to increase standard for drivers! because tra$c
jams are often cause by bad driving or accidents
How could crime in cities be dealt with?
#ost people "ill tell you that "e need more police o$cers and
better education but I disagree strongly "ith these ideas. /e have
enough policies o$cer in vn. (ou can see them every"here. In
addition! "e have guards at most publics buildings! "orkplaces
and residential areas. ;xtra policy is simple not necessary. Instead
"e should focus on improving the quality of our police. Better
education does not al"ays reduce crime. #any criminals in vn are
"ell educated. They usually commit the "hite collar crimes E
stealing money! corruption and things like these. But educating
ppl ho" to not to be crime victim should be useful
Do you think it is better to li%e in an urban area or a rural
one?
I think that its better to live in a city E at least in vn E simple
because the facilities are better! there is more to do and there are
much better job opportunities. In cities! the hospitals and school
are better! because they attact the best doctors and teachers. In
some rural ares! they use unqualifed people. Fural areas dont
have much nightlife and the variety of restaurants is very limited.
I think if people "ant to "ork on a farm! I guess countryside area
is better for them but to "ork in an o$ce or even in a factory the
city is a better option. There are just many more possibilities
Do you think that people in urban and rural areas have di*erent
personalities0
I really dont think it matters to much "hether a person live in the
city or the countryside. (ou can fnd kind! friendly or selfsh
people at both places. #any the paces of life have some e*ect.
5ife in the cities is faster. #any because there more to do in cities!
ppl are more interesting. But I also met some very interesting ppl
from countryside.
What are the main problems associated with migration to
cites?
If these people come to the cities looking for "ell paid jobs they
might be disappointed. #ost of them only have basic education
and skills! so getting a high paid job is simply no possible. Their
salaries "ill be lo". Then they might turn to crime E even
un"illing perhanpds under the in-uence of other people. They "ill
also certainly meet the problem fnding accommodation. This is
enough of a problem for city d"ellers. If more residentak area has
to be built for them. This expands the city and takes more land
maybe from the fame. +ome city people also complain that ne"
migrants make the city look untidt because they dress in old! dirty
clothers.
