As I walked around the classrooms in the first weeks, it was obvious to me that the students have settled in well! They are now immersed into their first units of Inquiry.
As the weather is becoming more unpredictable, please make sure that your child has suitable clothing. A light weight nylon poncho or similar is ideal against the wind and rain and can easily be packed away.

School open times 8.30. - 2.30pm. Grades 2 to 5 must enter and leave by the back door into the playground.
Dropping off and picking up Kindergarten and Grade 1 parents only are allowed to use the front of school for pick-up and drop off. All other students are to use the side and back entrances to school for both arriving at, and leaving the grounds. This is a safety issue and should be strictly adhered to. Grade 2-5 parents may not go to the classrooms in the morning and afternoons unless they have an appointment with the teacher.
Dates for the diary 3 rd September; Open Day- Please see previous notice. Students who cannot stay at home will be supervised in the EYC playground. Please make sure to write your name and email/phone number on the class sheets if you want to be involved with the social aspects of school life.
20 th September; PTA Family BBQ at school.
SNACKS-Reminder Please remember that the school is a nut free zone. Please also remember that snacks should contain as little sugar and be as salt-free as possible.
Staff By now you should all have your childs teachers email. If not, please contact us immediately and we will rectify this.
After School Homework Assistance After School Home Work assistance commenced on Monday the 25 th August (week 35). Tom Castleton supervises these activities. Monday and Wednesday for Grades 1 to 2 and Tuesday and Thursday for Grades 3, 4, and 5
Library The Library is now open for students after school. Please see the library notice board for open times after school. Students are able to use this time for independently completing homework or for silent reading.
ART Please make sure your children bring back their art portfolios from last year.
