PYP News Letter September, 2014 edition

From the PYP Principal and team,

Dear School Community,

As I walked around the classrooms in the first weeks, it was obvious to me that
the students have settled in well! They are now immersed into their first units
of Inquiry.

As the weather is becoming more unpredictable, please make sure that your
child has suitable clothing. A light weight nylon poncho or similar is ideal against
the wind and rain and can easily be packed away.

Please sign up for the parent Council!

And lastly, many thanks to the PTA groups that helped make the first few days
so much easier for the new parents!

School open times
8.30. - 2.30pm. Grades 2 to 5 must enter and leave by the back door into the
playground.

Dropping off and picking up
Kindergarten and Grade 1 parents only are allowed to use the front of school for
pick-up and drop off.
All other students are to use the side and back entrances to school for both
arriving at, and leaving the grounds. This is a safety issue and should be strictly
adhered to.
Grade 2-5 parents may not go to the classrooms in the morning and afternoons
unless they have an appointment with the teacher.
