A day and a new time to begin with, an
expectation being instill in everything I do and a goal is set in my mind.
The sun has come and so things should be done.
August 2014, my first duty at Mati National Comprehensive High School (MNCHS) for
completion to my FS2. Everything comes in a hurry and I shouldnt be late. Luckily, I arrived
just on time and I should have to find Mr. Duiyan because of the fact that hes my critic
teacher and should have to ask where he would be at 1:00 PM. He then answered me and I
hurriedly went to the direction he just gave me. Grade 7 _____, a room where learning takes
place, has chairs, chalkboard but does not have all the learning materials and facilities to
cater an intact information for the learners and not that conducive nor not a comfortable
room for the learners. Sir Duiyan instructed us to facilitate the students and left us with a
task. It has something to do with a weekly assessment known to be as Summative test. We
instructed the students on what to do and without much a thing the students had follow us.
They were able to do the task silently and here comes sir Duiyan. He instructed the students
to exchange papers with their sit mates and encouraged everyone to share their answers to
class. Some answers are correct but some are not. I myself could then assess the levels of
learning the learners has. The bell rang and the first period class has ended. I approached sir
Duiyan and he gave me visual aids to be posted on his next class. I went to Grade 7-Palma
and followed what sir Duiyans instruction. He did same thing with that of the Grade 7_____.
While the students are busy answering something caught my attention and it leads me to
comparison. I could say that the classroom is not conducive for learning due to lack of
facilities, unconstructed well and has something wrong with the ventilation. With all this
things learnings would be hard to facilitate but if we just know how to be creative enough
everything will be in its easy manner. Thus, as a teacher we should be flexible and versatile in
order for us to alleviate the learners and to be an effective and efficient source of knowledge.
Sir Duiyan ended his class with a knowledge being shared to his students and so do I.
Leanings are everywhere, in just one glimpse of a second leanings are already within us. And
it is reliable and factual if there is guidance and facilitating action among the influential
persons known as the teachers.

How?

Aug. 11, 2014 I arrived at Mati National Comprehensive High School just on time (01:00 PM.)
Students are on their respective classrooms, teachers are preparing for their first period class,
and everyone is doing different things that made them busy.
Since that was my second time in duty I need not to approach someone and ask something
about the things that has something to do with my assigned Critic Teacher. I went to Grade-7
Santos (where my critic teacher would conduct his first period for the afternoon class) and I
started observing. The topic as interesting and it caught me to listen. It was about MUSIC and
how to play an instrument specifically the flute. A wind instrument made from a tube with
holes along it that are stopped by the fingers or keys, held vertically or horizontally so that the
player's breath strikes a narrow edge. The modern orchestral form, typically made of metal, is
held horizontally and has an elaborate set of keys. From the definition itself, I was able then to
assess that it produces sound by directing a focused stream of air across the edge of a hole in a
cylindrical tube. This may sound easy but if in the real field its not. You need to be disciplined
well especially in piping and you should control your breathing upon piping it. Patience is a
virtue and it is essential in playing the instrument flute.
Students should have to do their best to master the basic playing of the flute. Sir Diuyan
facilitated the student by sharing all his knowledge about the subject. He started from the basic
and encouraged students to master it. He uses some strategies inclined with Educational
Technology such as PowerPoint presentation in which the Projector, laptop, and speakers are
utilized in a correct and just manner. By that, students are motivated and become inspired in
dealing with the subject. The PowerPoint presentation was all about the known instrumentalist
in the centuries. Time has ended and the presentations are done just on time. Sir diuyan
instructed his students to study the basic piping of the flute and giving the students a copy of
songs with notes for them to be more skillful in playing the flute.
Learning is essential in advancing ones personal and social life with a knowledge that is Reliable
and just.

Every morning starts a new page in your
story; Make it a great one today
A quote to be inspired with and has a meaning filled with greatness and life to live with.
This day serves as an energizer for me and so with the student. Sir diuyan have instructed us to
facilitate the students for their lesson in Basketball. This serves as a challenge for me and I should take
this seriously.
I gathered the student to the place where we can find comfort and convenient (to the Pavilion).
Facilitating them and managing the whole class is the first thing that challenged me on the field. Luckily,
they listened and followed all my instructions and secondly I introduced the objectives and next the
topics. The different hand signals in the game Basketball. At first it was hard for me to cater all the
things related to basketball and to manage students having differences and diverse backgrounds. Later I
realized that it would be better if I am going to use some strategies Ive learned in my Educational
Technology subject. I used Pictures to aid the students consciousness about the game. I presented
pictures such as the hand signal when it is Double dribble, no score, pushing, travelling, carry, held ball
and so on. After the discussion I approached one student and asked him if he understand the lesson.
Luckily, I received a positive comment and to think it would be better if I received also a negative one.
By that I will be able correct my lapses in transmitting a knowledge or information. As the bell rings, I
already instructed the students to go back to their classrooms and wait for their next subject.
The day has ended with an achievement being achieved.
