Let sincere faith be yourbowing in prayer, and let the conquest of your mind be
your objective in life.

Wherever I look, there I see Gods !resence. ""#"" $%hagat &abir 'i, (ng )*,
+GG+ 'i,
If one bows $in front of +atguru,, but has no faith in doing so then understand that one is not
present in the moment, but Waheguru surely is. In reality, the showers of (mrit are always
pouring around us- it is just that we dont have the vessel to collect it in. If Waheguru 'i have
not been realised yet, it does not mean .e is or was not not available- rather we are not
present to receive .im. /hus, whenever one does not feel the 0ass while reciting %ani, it
should be inferred that ones consciousness is not present and that one could not be with
Waheguru in that moment. It is certainly not the case that bani or simran is sometimes full of
rass and sometimes not. +ome people ask, 1+ometimes we do feel the rass while doing path,
but there are other times when we derive no anand derived from reciting %ani1. 2oes that
mean that it is %ani that is devoid of rass3 4o, the rass is always there- it is just one is not
present there to receive it. +o, do not ever ask this question, as the showers of Grace are
always pouring, one just has to be present to get drenched.

&abeer, plant the seeds of such a plant, which shall bear fruit throughout the
twelve months,
\
with cooling shade and abundant fruit, upon which birds joyously play. ""556""
$&abir 'i, (ng #789, +GG+ 'i,
Waheguru is available for everyone throughout twelve months, it is just that ones
conciousness absconds and that is the aim of +aadhna : to make ones conciousness present
at all times when doing path or simran.
(ctually, ones consciousness wavers because the mann goes into one of the divisions of
time. /ime in itself has no classification ; it justI+. .owever, for us human beings three
different time states e<ist : past, present and the future. When mann goes into the past or
future,it goes farther away from Waheguru. %ut it is when mann is in the present that it gets
closer to the (kal !urakh. /hat is why, %hai Gurdas 'i says=
B P +
.e always moves in the present i.e. never ignores the contemporary situations
and side by side accepts whatever is likely to happen. $>aar #), !auri 5#,
If we have to control mann, then first of all we have to accept uncontionally whatever that is
happening in our lives, irrespective of whether it appeals our mann or not. When our mann
agrees to one set of events, but complains about others, it gets divided. If something was
e<pected but did not happen, mann goes looking for it in the future. (nd if we had something
in the past that is not with us anymore in the present, mann goes looking for that missing
element in the past. /his way our mann remains in the state of memories of past and?or
worries of the future events.
(s mann changes its states within, it gets reflected on the outside by appropriate facial
e<pressions. /he e<pression on the face is different when someone is missing his wife or
husband while it is something else when thinking of an enemy for instance. /hus, the roops
keep changing constantly.
Guru Gobind +ingh 'i @aharaj says in his %ani +ri 'aap +ahib=

(fter playing the world;drama, when /hou wilt stop the play, /hou wilt be the
same Ane again.)#. $!age #*, +ri 2asam Granth +ahib 'i,
+o, why are there so many different forms of Waheguru3 Guru Gobind +ingh 'i says, dont be
in any confusion for it is all .is drama, .is khel. In 0aam Leela, if there is a shortage of
actors then one actor can play the roles of both 0am and 0avana or even .anumaan. If the
different masks of this actor are taken off, what remains then is that one person. /hat is how
(kal !urakh changes .is countless roops.
/he whole aim of 2haram +aadhna is to be able to see that Ane in everything and everyone.
(nd for that, we have to stop the manns divisions and tune its consciousness with the Ane.
(nyone who is able to train mann to remain in the present will see the same +un in every ray
of light- the same Acean in all different waves. /his vision, where one sees the Cormless in
.is every form, is predominant in +ri Guru Gobind +ingh 'i @aharaj. /hus, it is no wonder
that he scolded %hai &ahnayyiaa 'i for giving only water to the injured enemy soldiers- he
also instructed him to apply medicine to their wounds too for he saw the Ane even in
enemies.

@askeen 'i narrates a personal incident that happened to him when he was doing katha
somewhere abroad. .e had spoken on this above tukk for a few days when H;8 doctors came
and said to @askeen 'i to not repeat the tukk as 1they will spread a lot of superstitions1.
@askeen 'i replied 1If you want to place allegation, then dare place it on +ri Guru (rjan 2ev 'i
because it is him who has gifted us with this tukk, I am merely providing you with the
translations1. Gurbani tells us there are both good souls and bad souls. /he good souls, the
2evtas, stay at religious and all such sacred places while bad souls, the %hoots and !rets, are
found at brothels, pubs and gambling houses. @askeen 'i says he has met people with 2ev;
2rishti, people who have the avastha to see these 2evtas.
@askeen 'i narrates another incident that happened at one Gurdwara +ahib in +eattle. While
@askeen ji was doing katha, a singh got up and sat close to one Gyani %alwinder +ingh 'i of
Ganada who happened to be sitting close to @askeen 'i $but not on stage,. .e then asked,
1Who are these two people with long beards sitting on the stage3 /hey look so divine.1 Gyani
%alwinder +ingh 'i replied, 1Well, it is only @askeen 'i sitting on the stage.1 /he singh insisted
and said,1 4o, there are two more singhs +inghs sitting behind @askeen 'i, close to the wall.
/hey have got very long beards and got noor on their faces.1 Gyani %alwinder +ingh laughed
it off and told the +ingh to get this eyes checked for there is no one else sitting on the stage.
(fter the katha, @askeen 'i asked Gyani 'i the reason of commotion and Gyani 'i e<plained it
all to @askeen 'i. /he same +ingh mentioned the same thing again for the ne<t couple of
days and the news of this got spread to the trustees of the Gurdwara +ahib.
/he ne<t day, Gyani %alwinder +ingh 'i insisted that he will sit ne<t to @askeen 'i to prove to
that +ingh that no one else sits on the stage. %ut barely after #H minutes into the katha,
Gyani %alwinder +ingh screamed and fell down the stage and started crying. Epon being
asked what happened, Gyani 'i said he saw those two +inghs with long beards- they pushed
him off the stage as he had taken their regular spot. @askeen 'i enquired whether they did or
said anything else to Gyani %alwinder 'i and he said no, that is all they did. /hat led @askeen
'i to say that they are 2evta souls who havent yet received mukti as their physical bodies
had e<pired before they could be mukt.
+uch 2evta souls are found in .indus and @uslims as well. Gyani %alwinder +ingh 'i said,
1(lthough the +inghs hit me and threw me off the stages, yet I felt immense anand with their
physical contact with me1. @askeen 'i then smiled and said, 1(lthough you have been
learning Gurbani arths from me, yet it is you who possess that 2ev;2rishti, your saadhna has
paid off1.
@askeen 'i narrates yet another story= /here was an (mritdhari %ibi who was constantly
being told by this 2evta soul to take it to darshan of +ri 2arbar +ahib. /his soul is incidentally
a muslim soul. @askeen 'i says he was astonished when that illiterate %ibi started reciting
Iuran;e;+harif to him. +ome of his companions got scared but @askeen 'i assured them the
soul is not bad, on the contrary, it is a Carishta soul as the only souls that can go inside
2arbar +ahib are the good souls, the 2evtas. 4o %hoot !rett can dare to enter the premises
of +ri 2arbar +ahib.
@askeen 'i requested that %ibi to recite the namaJ of Kohr to him. +urprisingly, the rooh
replied, 1I have no interest in Kohr, I only like to recite the namaJ of Cajr $the namaJ of (mrit
>ela for muslims, and that is what I recite the whole day1. @askeen 'i says I heard a lot of
Iuran from that bibi but only when that farishta is in that %ibi, otherwise she cannot recite a
single line. @askeen 'i then asked, 1+o why have you come for darshan of +ri 2arbar +ahib
then31 /he rooh replied, 1Cor this is only dar, the only place where I feel at peace with
myself1. @askeen 'i asked the reason for its wandering despite it being such a namaJi and
connected to (llah, he replied, 1I am forced to, because I have yet to find appropriate to;be;
mother in muslims through whom my birth can take place1.
/his proves that the %ani that we read does not go to waste, it goes along with us when we
leave our physical body. 'ust as an animal as the body but not any mann, the rooh has mann
$and in it all its contents,, but no body.
+o, that muslim farishta says to @askeen 'i that the reason he has come to him is because
he has studied Iuran and that he feels like coming to him again and again to listen to path.
@askeen ji said to him that he can most certainly come everyday. Ane day it came to
@askeen 'i holding two bottles of perfumes in both hands and said, 1I realised I came to you
empty handed, so please accept these bottles of perfume as a gift from my side1. @askeen 'i
asked that faristha whether other roohs like him come to +ri 2arbar +ahib, and it replied 1Ah
yes, thousands like me everyday as there is anand, rass at +ri 2arbar +ahib.1
/herefore, there are millions of people in this world and so are millions of good and bad
souls. /he bad souls, the %hoots, cannot come to Gurdwaras and holy places as their
sanskars and way of living do not match with those at holy places. /heir rass is at gambling
houses, pubs, and brothels and that is where they feel at home.
%ut places like +ri 2arbar +ahib, +ri .aJoor +ahib, +ri +is Ganj +ahib are always packed with
good souls, the 2evtas. /hese souls will not go anywhere else till the time they take new
birth somewhere.
'ust like our eyes can see the visible, they also have the capability of seeing the invisible.
