Science Fair Timeline

By the end of September, you should be at work on an approved project. You will use a variety of
sources to research background information to interpret your data.
A Review of Literature is included in your final Research Paper, along with other parts of the Scientific
Method when you present your project.

Prior to the week of September 18, work on choosing a topic for your project and locating resources to
help you develop an experiment. Not everyone needs to have started an experiment by this time, but
certain experiments (like plant and animal experiments) will need to begin earlier. Use your time
wisely.
Submit a Science Fair Topic for approval
Submit 3 Source Cards with 3 Note Cards Each (Nine
in all) by Thursday, 9/25/14
Submit 1) Hypothesis, 2) Materials List, 3) Procedure
by Thursday 10/9/14.
Peer Review of the Review of Literature. Bring a rough
draft to review on Tuesday, 10/14/14
Draft of Review of the Literature is due Wednesday,
10/22/14.
Results:
1) Chart/Table, 2) Graph, 3) Analysis, 4) Sources of
Experimental Error identified by Monday, 11/3/14.
Presentations begin on December 1, 2014. Projects for
the TCA Science Fair will be selected by December 9,
2014. TCA Science Fair will be on December 12,
2014.
