Same-sex marriage is frowned upon within many religions. It is believed by these
religions that children thrive better when they are raised by a mother and father, as opposed to
a same-sex couple. In one of the images shown above it shows a child holding a sign stating my
family matters, proving that she has been raised by a same-sex couple and is doing just fine. It
is also said that children thrive when they are raised by parents whom are married. Yet same-
sex couples are not given the opportunity to marry. In one of the pictures a man is holding a
sign that states he is just married after 27 years. Although divorce rates are high among
heterosexual couples, many same-sex couples have proved that they can make a relationship
last.
With one of the images shown, it has a man holding a sign stating that marriage
equality equals economic equality and another with the word human on it. We are all
human regardless of race, gender, religion, or sexual preference. We all contribute to the
economy in some way as humans and we all deserve to be equal and have the same rights as a
whole, not separated by differences. No differences between us should be present when it
comes to the opportunities available.
All of the above image are pro gay marriage, they go to show the many reasons that are
against gay marriage are either false or are led by the opinion of the church. They also show
that regardless of what side your opinion is on, in the end we are all the same and want the
same thing equality. The images also go to show the diversity that is amongst us and how
many people are getting to live their life free of discrimination because of the choices they
make. Amongst those people, same-sex couples are highly discriminated because of diversity.
