1 CASE 1 RECAP - BLACK SCREEN
The screen shows a blank screen with black and white image/s
from the last case.
VALERIE (VO)
A few weeks ago, I discovered that
I was different.
Well, more so than anyone else. I
had the ability to pass through
mirrors into a distorted world.
And it came in handy too, because
without it, I never would have been
able to save the towns witches from
being drained of all their power.
Ironically, a woman who was
obsessed with religion was behind
the crime. But thanks to the clues
she left behind, we were able to
confront her and cause her to stop
her crusade.

2 A NICE MEAL OUT - NIGHT - RESTAURANT - INTERIOR
FADE IN
Valerie is sat at a table with Liam eating non-descript
food. They are out on a date at a restaurant.
VALERIE (VO)
But now, things are back to normal.
And Im going on a date with the
very man that I saved from death.
Well, when you save a guys life
its the least he could do.
LIAM
So have you had any other cases
since the last time we met?
VALERIE
Sadly no, the economy isnt the
only thing thats suffering.
LIAM
At least youre not being
confronted by a religious woman
with a grudge.
VALERIE
Thats true. And I dont feel so
awkward about the whole thing now.
LIAM
Im glad you feel better, else I
wouldnt be here.
Valerie smiles. On the table, her mobile phone rings.
VALERIE (BLUSHING)
I thought Id turned the bloody
thing off.
She sees the caller ID. Its Sam.
VALERIE
Sorry Li, I have to take this.
LIAM
No worries, take your time.
Valerie answers the phone.

VALERIE
Youd better be in mortal danger
Samantha.
SAM
Hello to you too.
VALERIE
Youre being sarcastic, you want
something.
SAM
What kind of things would I ever
want to do to you?
VALERIE
Do you want me to run off a list?
SAM
Okay okay. I was just wondering if
you could come around after youve
had your date.
VALERIE
Sure, is something wrong?
SAM
No, but theres something here that
will be right up your street.
VALERIE
OK, see ya soon babe.
SAM (FAKE AFFECTION)
Love you honey.
Valerie hangs up and sits back down.
LIAM
Everything OK?
VALERIE
Just girl stuff. She wants me to
pop over later.
LIAM
But youre not going right now
right?
VALERIE
Nope.

LIAM
Good, Id hate to have to pay for
this myself.
He laughs, Valerie joins after a few seconds.

3 A SHORTENED CHRISTMAS LIST - NIGHT - OUTSIDE SAMS FLAT -
EXTERIOR
Valerie walks up to Sams flat building and sees the police
tape around the building. She looks slightly annoyed and
groans.
VALERIE (VO)
What I thought was just an excuse
to chat about girl stuff was in
fact another case. Thats one more
present I dont have to buy this
Christmas.

4 NOT QUITE A CASUAL CHAT - NIGHT - OUTSIDE SAMS FLAT -
EXTERIOR
Valerie walks up to the barrier and looks around to see if
she can spot Sam.
SAM
Glad you made it.
Valerie jumps to see that Sam is standing behind her. She
purses her lips.
SAM
Sorry Val, I couldnt resist.
The apology warms Valeries spirit and she smiles. She turns
to Sam.
VALERIE
Was this your idea of something up
my street?
SAM
Oh this? This happened after I
called you.
Valerie crosses her arms, she isnt convinced.
SAM
Fine it didnt. But would you have
come at this hour if I told you the
reason why?
VALERIE
Probably not.
Sam smiles, knowing she is joking.
VALERIE
So what happened?
Sams face darkens slightly.
SAM
Thats just it. We dont know.
VALERIE
So why call me?
SAM
I thought you might be able to see
what you couldnt.

VALERIE
Do you mean use the mirror world
again?
SAM
Not necessarily, but it could help.
VALERIE
OK. Ill see what I can do.
SAM
Great.
Sam leads Valerie into the crime scene and to the front door
of the flats.
FADE OUT

5 WATER WATER EVERYWHERE - NIGHT - VICTIMS FLAT #1 - INTERIOR
The front door opens and Sam and Valerie walk in. The whole
flat is completely soaked.
VALERIE
Bloody hell, what happened?
SAM
Thats what we cant work out. Its
everywhere, even in the bedrooms.
Valerie walks into the main body of the room, her feet
squelching on the carpet.
VALERIE (VO)
I can see why Sam wanted another
opinion. But what I dont
understand is how I can help ...

6 LEAVING UNSOLVED - NIGHT - VICTIMS FLAT #1 - INTERIOR
Valerie emerges from Reflectus and then walks out of the
bathroom, only to bump into Andy.
ANDREW
Miss LeBlanc!? What are you doing
here?
VALERIE
I was freshening up.
Before Andy can answer, Sam walks over to her.
SAM
You all done Val?
VALERIE
Yeah I think so.
Andy doesnt look impressed.
ANDREW
Are you asking your friend for help
again Granger?
SAM
Yes Andy I am. The forensic people
have been in, so she cant tamper
with the evidence. I just thought a
fresh pair of eyes would help us
find something.
ANDREW
You mean help her get a story. Just
like that Eliza girl, mind you she
has great knockers on her.
Andy has drifted into a daze. Sam clicks her fingers.
SAM
Sir!
Andy awakes.
ANDREW
What? Sorry Granger. OK you can
stay, but dont get in my way.
Understand?
VALERIE
No problem.
Andy walks away.

CONTINUED: 10.
VALERIE
The only problem is, I found
nothing.
SAM
Seriously?
VALERIE
Apart from the reversal of the
room, everything looked normal.
Sam looks slightly disappointed.
SAM
No worries Val, at least you tried.
Valerie smiles at her.
VALERIE
Yeah.
SAM
Fancy a lift home?
VALERIE
No thanks, I need the walk.
SAM
OK Val, take care.
Valerie walks toward the door and leaves the flat.

7 WONDERING WHY - NIGHT - VALERIES FLAT - INTERIOR
Valerie is looking at the ceiling on her bed.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
How could the man have died like
that? It makes no sense.
She rolls over onto her side.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
I hope they find out what caused
it. Otherwise someone else might be
in danger.
She rolls onto her other side and slowly closes her eyes.
FADE OUT
A sign appears on the screen saying "A Week Later..."

8 CALL OF DUTY - DAY - VALERIES FLAT - INTERIOR
FADE IN
Valerie is at her desk reading the paper. Her phone rings.
She puts down the paper and picks up the handset.
VALERIE
Hello?
SAM
Hey bright eyes.
VALERIE
Hi Sam. Whats up?
There is a pause.
SAM
Theres been another unexplainable
death, just like what happened last
week.
Valerie sighs
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
Thats my day off ruined. At least
most of my programmes have repeats.
VALERIE
Where did it happen this time?
SAM
Right next door to the last one.
VALERIE
Youre joking?
SAM
Wish I were Val, but it happened
and here we are.
Valerie closes her paper and gets to her feet.
VALERIE
Ill be there as soon as I can. Is
Andy around?
SAM
He already left, youre free and
clear.
(CONTINUED)

VALERIE (THOUGHT)
Great. At least I wont have to
deal with him as well as this.
VALERIE
Thanks Sam.
SAM
My pleasure, see ya soon.
Sam hangs up the phone. Valerie follows suit.
VALERIE
Another death right next door.
Theres no way this is a freak
accident. I just hope that we have
a better lead this time.

9 AN UNFRIENDLY WELCOME - DAY - OUTSIDE SAMS FLAT - EXTERIOR
Valerie arrives on the scene and bumps into Eliza.
VALERIE
Oh, Im so sorry.
ELIZA
So you should be, this is a
designer top.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
Who is this diva?

10 SAVED BY THE BELL, WELL SAM - DAY - OUTSIDE SAMS FLAT -
EXTERIOR
Sam walks up to Valerie and Eliza.
SAM
Hey Val. Glad you could make it.
ELIZA
So this is the famous Valerie
LeBlanc? I imagined her taller,
with bigger breasts.
VALERIE (SARCASTIC)
Im flattered.
Sam looks at Eliza and frowns.
SAM
Miss Drake, I thought Andrew made
it perfectly clear that you were to
leave.
Eliza turns up her nose.
ELIZA
I was leaving, right before I
bumped into this low rank reporter.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
Im a journalist you presumptuous
bitch.
She looks at both Sam and Valerie, laughs and walks away.
SAM
Sorry about her, she doesnt
understand the meaning of the word
no.
VALERIE
I know, Ive read her articles.
Sam looks up at the building then back to Valerie.
SAM
You ready to go up?
VALERIE
If I must.
They both lightly laugh and walk in the direction of the
building.

11 SECOND ENTRANCE - DAY - VICTIMS FLAT #2 - INTERIOR
Sam and Valerie walk in the flat, she sees the flat is dry.
VALERIE
So what happened to the victim?
SAM
It looks like she fell out of a
three story building, but the body
hasnt left the room.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
Great. Another set of impossible
circumstances. Just when you think
things were going to be easy.
SAM
Ill leave you to it.
VALERIE
Is that because of your confidence
in me, or because you dont want me
to be seen?
Sam shrugs, but smiles.
SAM
Bit of both.
VALERIE
Thanks.
Sam walks away.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
Now, where to start looking for an
impossible answer ...

13 FAITH, TRUST AND MAGIC DUST - DAY - REFLECTUS VICTIMS FLAT
#2 - INTERIOR
Valerie emerges into Reflectus and leaves the bathroom. She
sees a symbol floating above the body in golden light.
VALERIE
What the hell?
She takes a closer look and finds that the light is not
solid, but it remains.
She gets out her notebook and draws a rough sketch of the
symbol on it.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
That looks to me like another
symbol. Like when we faced Selena.
Could it be another serial killer?
She walks back to the bathroom.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
I hope there isnt another Selena
out there, she was scary ... even
for a nun.

14 BACK TO THE FIND - DAY - VICTIMS FLAT #2 - INTERIOR
Valerie comes out of the bathroom and walks over to Sam.
SAM
Hey Val. Did you find anything?
VALERIE
I found something. But I dont know
if means anything.
Sam looks intrigued. Valerie shows her the symbol.
SAM
Looks like another pagan symbol.
VALERIE
Thats what I thought. But I didnt
see anything like it in the book.
And I gave it back to the shop
after we had finished with it.
SAM
Looks like we might have to go back
then.
VALERIE
I thought it closed when they
thought Eden had gone.
SAM
They did, but her assistant took it
over.
Valerie smiles.
VALERIE
Ill go there on my way back.
Sam looks around at the other officers.
SAM
We may as well go now, it looks
like theyve found everything they
can.
VALERIE
Im not sure if that fills me with
confidence or not.
Sam laughs and walks over to the door. Looking back at the
body, Valerie sighs and follows her friend out of the flat.

15 MEETING THE NEW OWNER - DAY - VERNAL EQUINOX - INTERIOR
Valerie and Sam walk through the door. Sarah is at the
counter reading a book. She looks up when she hears the door
close.
SARAH
Hello there. Welcome to Vernal
Equinox.
Sam and Valerie walk up to main counter.
SARAH
Oh, Detective Granger, are you here
to ask some more questions?
Sam shakes her head.
SAM
No Miss Blake, Im off duty. I
decided to call in on my way back
with my friend Valerie.
She found something that you may be
able to identify for us.
Sarah looks at Valerie and her eyes open with slight
surprise.
SARAH
Oh?!
Valerie looks alarmed.
VALERIE
Is something wrong?
SARAH
Oh no, its just its been a while
since Ive seen someone who has
been to Reflectus.
Valerie and Sam look confused.
SAM
Reflectus?
SARAH
The world that is on another plane
but is in the same physical space
as ours. It is similar to our
world, but there are some
differences.

VALERIE
You mean like a lack of colour?
SARAH
Precisely, and things that are
invisible to us in the real world
become visible in that place.
VALERIE
You mean like this symbol?
Valerie shows her the picture.
SAM
Yes. This is a magical imprint in
the form of a hieroglyph.
VALERIE
A hieroglyph?
SARAH
Yes, Ive seen ones similar to it.
Where exactly did you find it?
VALERIE
In a crime scene, above a dead
body.
Sarah looks pale.
SARAH
No, just thinking of how sad it is
that people use forces they cant
comprehend for tasks that shouldnt
ever be attempted.
VALERIE
I completely agree.
SAM
Same here. The worst part is that
we couldnt find anything that
killed the poor man.
Sarah looks up.
SARAH
There might be a way.
SAM
Really? How?
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 22.
SARAH
There is a spell I could perform
that would show how someone died.
Covens used to use them to prove
the truth when they were tried for
crimes they didnt commit.
Valerie looks hopeful.
VALERIE
Could you perform this spell for
us?
SARAH
Yes, but each witch can only
perform the spell once. Its so we
dont let the power go to our
heads.
The only bad thing is, I dont have
the ingredients that I need to make
the spell.
VALERIE
We can try and get them for you.
What do you need?
Sarah thinks.
SARAH
A sample of the victims blood, a
piece of produce from the earth and
a piece of tinted glass.
VALERIE
Sounds simple enough.
SAM
How long are you open for?
SARAH
Most of the day. If were closed,
just knock the door and Ill
answer.
Valerie and Sam walk toward the door.
VALERIE
Thank you Miss Blake.

SARAH
Please call me Sarah. Good luck
with finding what you need.
Sam and Valerie nod at Sarah and exit the shop.

16 THE GATHERERS RETURN - NIGHT - VERNAL EQUINOX - INTERIOR
Valerie and Sam enter Vernal Equinox.
SARAH
Did you get what you need?
VALERIE
Took us a while, but we got all you
asked for.
Sarah puts on her coat.
SARAH
Excellent. Ill just get my
supplies and then we can go.
She goes in the back room.
VALERIE
Hope this was worth it.
SAM
Me too, but she knows whats she
doing. I hope.
Sarah comes out of the back.
SARAH
You ready to go?
SAM
Ready when you are.
Valerie and Sam walk out of the shop, followed by Sarah who
locks the door behind her.

17 THE LAST MOMENTS - NIGHT - VICTIMS FLAT #2 - INTERIOR
FADE OUT
FADE IN
Sarah has placed all her ingredients in a circle drawn on
the floor. Valerie and Sam are lighting the candles she has
placed.
SARAH
Just need to act the last
ingredient and the spell is done.
How are the candles coming?
Valerie lights the last candle.
VALERIE
All done.
SAM
What do we do now?
SARAH
We leave the circle and I throw
this potion inside it. The magic
will work and the spell will be
cast, then disappear when it is
done.
VALERIE
Sounds good to me.
All three women leave the circle. Sarah holds the potion up
in her hand.
SARAH
Are you ready?
VALERIE
Ready as Ill ever be.
SARAH
Then well begin.
Sarah drops the potion into the circle. It explodes and
energy swirls around inside the confines of the drawn
outline.
A cloud of mist forms inside the outline. It shows the man
holding something in his hand and then he is suspended in
the air.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 26.
He seems to be falling but staying at the same height. Then,
he slams to the floor, his body hemorrhaging from the
impact.
Sarah and Sam gasp. Valerie is frozen in horror.
VALERIE (VO)
It is horrible for anyone to die by
a freak accident. But to have it
happen twice ...
The only mercy was that the victim
was already long past the point of
being able to feel pain.
The cloud disappears, as does the chalk outline and all the
ingredients of the spell except for the candles, which are
blown out.
SARAH
That poor man.
SAM
I dont understand, he didnt fall
from a high enough height to die
like that.
SARAH
Maybe the height was magically
induced, and that was why the
symbol appeared in Reflectus. A
marker to prove what really
happened.
Valerie looks around at where the man used to live.
VALERIE (VO)
Whatever caused this, we have to
find who or what is responsible.
Maybe there is some obvious clue in
the flat as to what really
happened.

18 HUMANITYS GREATEST WEAKNESS - NIGHT - VICTIMS FLAT #2 -
INTERIOR
Valerie looks at the desk.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
A card, with the victims name on
it?
She examines it more closely.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
Our victim was a skydiver?
Her eyes open wide.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
That must mean ...
VALERIE
Sam, Sarah, Ive found something!
Sarah and Sam rush over to Valerie.
SAM
What do you mean something?
VALERIE
The man who died here was a newly
qualified professional skydiver.
SAM
So what does that prove?
SARAH
It proves that he would have wanted
to fall from a great height.
And thanks to whatever caused his
death, he was able to simulate a
fall that not even a skyscraper
could match.
SAM
That definitely matches what
happened to the body.
VALERIE
The logical conclusion to all this
is that somehow, the man got his
greatest desire to come true, only
it backfired on him and caused him
to lose his life.
(CONTINUED)

They all look at each other.
SAM
But what could cause something like
that to happen?
SARAH
I dont know, but I hope we can
find out soon, or someone else may
suffer a similar fate.
Sam suddenly thinks of something.
SAM
Is it possible that the guy from
last week was killed by his own
desire?
VALERIE
It could be. But we dont know
anything about him.
SAM
They would have his information in
the autopsy file. They have to do a
background check in order to make
judgments in cases that dont have
a clear conclusion.
Valerie looks at Sam.
VALERIE
Is there anyway you could get the
file?
SAM
Maybe, but the most recent cases
are kept in a safe in Andys office
at the police station, just until
the cause of death is determined.
VALERIE
Its too late to do anything now,
so I suggest we meet there in the
morning.
SAM
Good idea, I have the day off but I
can say Im collecting admin if
anyone asks.

SARAH
And Ill see if I can find that
symbol in any of the books in the
shop. It must be in one of them.
VALERIE
Let us know if you find anything.
SAM
Well come round to Vernal Equinox
as soon as we have the information.
SARAH
Thanks. I hope you get the files.
VALERIE
Well try our best.
Sam, Valerie and Sarah head toward the door, Sarah picking
up her belongings along the way.
VALERIE (VO)
And that was how we discovered the
fatal truth of the mysterious
deaths.
But the fact was we had only
touched the surface of something
much bigger. And it would take
nothing short of a miracle to bring
them to an end.

19 ENTERING THE STATION - DAY - POLICE STATION - INTERIOR
Valerie and Sam walk into the police station. There are a
few officers around.
SAM
Looks like a normal day at the
precinct.
Valerie looks around.
VALERIE
Where did you say Andys office
was?
SAM
Just around the corner. He
shouldnt be in there at the moment
because he is out on patrol.
They walk in the main area and notice the door to Andys
office is blocked.
SAM
Great. Just what we need.
VALERIE
Ill go into Reflectus and see if I
can get through that way.
SAM
OK, but dont take too long.
Theres no knowing who could walk
in.
VALERIE
Thanks.
There is a trace of sarcasm, but she appreciates the
sentiment.
VALERIE (VO)
The only problem is, there are no
mirrors in this room. So I will
have to find one from somewhere
else ...

20 THE PLAN WORKED - DAY - VICTIMS FLAT #2 - INTERIOR
Valerie emerges from the police bathroom with the file.
SAM
Did you get it?
Valerie holds up the file.
VALERIE
Got it.
SAM
Good. Now we can find out the
truth.
VALERIE (THOUGHT)
I certainly hope so.
SAM
Just to be sure, wed better go
back to his flat. There may be
something that weve missed.
VALERIE
Good plan.
SAM
Im full of them.
Sam smiles at her sarcasm and Valerie just smirks.

21 MEETING DALOS - DAY - VICTIMS FLAT #1 - INTERIOR
Valerie and Sam enter the flat. The police tape is being
taken down by another officer and there is an unknown man
looking around the place. He notices them and walks over.
DALOS
Can I help you two?
SAM
I live in one of the other flats, I
just wanted to pay my respects to
the man who lived here.
DALOS
Oh right. Well, carry on. Just
dont touch anything that you
shouldnt. You never know what
could happen.
He walks away.
VALERIE
Who was that?
SAM
I think hes the new landlord. The
old one left without warning a few
weeks ago.
VALERIE
Did they ever find him?
SAM
He wasnt reported as a missing
person so no one ever bothered to
check.
VALERIE
But surely the clients would wonder
where their landlord is?
SAM
Once that man took over, I dont
think anyone really cared as long
as they werent homeless.
Its strange though. I know I
should care more, but for some
reason I know not to.
Valerie looks at her.

VALERIE (VO)
First the desires going wrong, and
now a missing landlord. This is
getting stranger by the minute.

22 DISCOVERING THE ALMOST TRUTH - DAY - VERNAL EQUINOX -
INTERIOR
Valerie has just exhausted the piece of information she was
looking at.
VALERIE
Were never gonna find anything at
this rate.
Sam and Sarah run into the room. They look flustered and
Sarah is carrying an old tome.
SAM
I think weve found it! (gasping
for breath)
VALERIE
What do you mean? I thought you
said youve looked through all the
books.
SARAH
We did for all the Egyptian
mythology, but the symbol isnt a
hieroglyph. Its a Persian rune. We
were looking at the symbol upside
down.
VALERIE
So what does the symbol represent?
SARAH
Thats the worst part. I think this
explains why the police are getting
cases of people getting what they
want.
SAM
She means that the people who were
cursed were given their hearts
desire just as we thought. Their
fondest wish.
VALERIE
So were dealing with a wish
granter?
SARAH
Specifically an object. Mostly
likely one that has been blessed or
cursed with the power.

SAM
Is there a difference?
SARAH
Not according to most scholars.
But according to this book, cursed
pendants grant the reverse of the
wish whilst blessed objects grant
the exact interpretation.
The powers themselves are very
powerful but certainly not
unstoppable.
SAM
Theres one thing I dont
understand though. If it is the
pendant, not everyone would know
about its power.
So how would they find out?
SARAH
Most magical objects have a kind of
power inside themselves that draws
people to it.
Its like when someone smells a
cake in a kitchen, they are tempted
to look to see what it is.
SAM
That makes sense. Otherwise the
objects would never be found.
SARAH
Very true.
VALERIE
So now we know why they were drawn
to it, is it safe to assume all the
people in the flat were cursed by
the wish they made?
SARAH
That certainly explains the energy
readings. But there was something
wrong.
SAM
What do you mean wrong?

CONTINUED: 36.
SARAH
I mean that the symbol in question
belongs to a blessed pendant.
But all the people who had a wish
granted, their wish went wrong.
VALERIE
So maybe the pendant is tampering
with their wish?
SARAH
Ordinarily I would agree. But the
legend of the pendant in question
doesnt match with that.
VALERIE
You know its back story?
SARAH.
Yes. The symbol was exactly the
same as the one listed under its
definition.
The symbol in question was the mark
of a powerful human sorcerer who
strived to only have people survive
to do his bidding.
If they ceased to be of use, they
would be removed from life.
VALERIE
Doesnt sound too far wrong from
todays world.
SARAH
But just like in our world, the
people didnt like being ruled by a
dictator.
They wanted change, and they didnt
want to wait for things to get
better.
So they called together all the
sorcerers of the era and they asked
him to do something for another
person and not just himself.
VALERIE
And he refused?

SARAH
Without question. To teach him the
error of his ways, the sorcerers
used all their magic and drained
his power into a pendant.
The magic of the spell meant that
it had to fulfill their every
command, exactly as the holder
wanted it to be done.
SAM
So thats why you think something
wrong?
SARAH
Definitely.
If it was bound to fulfill the
command perfectly, why are the
people dying? No one on the list of
victims was suicidal.
Sams phone rings.
SAM
Sam Granger.
There is a brief pause.
SAM
OK, Im on my way.
She hangs up.
VALERIE
Whats up?
SAM
Our mystical murdering medallion
has struck again.
VALERIE
Do you want me to come along?
SAM
You can if you like, dont know how

to speak as there is loud indistinguishable noise on the
other end of the phone. Sam hangs up when it is finished.

Dalos must have told them about the
missing pendant and they suspect I
have it.
VALERIE
He must have seen us leaving with
it.
SAM

Sam looks confused.

Sam smiles.

DRAKE

VALERIE
We will find a way to deal with him

us.
Dalos looks nervous, but he agrees.

I just hope that he doesnt kill me
over the thing going missing in the
first place.

After another impossible event, we
finally discovered who was truly

I really hope that we can save

Because If we cant, theres no
knowing how many more people will
suffer a cruel death. And that is

Valerie and Sam arrive at the scene. Andy has his back to

Sam walks away.

anyones guess. I just hope that I

26 CAUGHT IN THE ACT - DAY - VICTIMS FLAT #3 - INTERIOR
Valerie places the pendant under the pillow of the sofa and
places the pillow back into place. After a moment, she
ruffles the pillow to try and make it look natural.
ELIZA
What are you doing?
Valerie ducks back down to the sofa.
VALERIE
Just making sure the room is tidy.
I think the previous owner would
have wanted it that way.
Eliza doesnt buy this for a second. She budges past Valerie
and lifts up the pillow. She picks up the pendant and walks
over to Andy.
ANDY
Miss Drake, I thought I told you to

ELIZA
I found something under a pillow
detective, I thought it might be

Andys eyes light up.
ANDY

So Daloss protection will be gone?
SARAH
Exactly. You have to confront him
Val, and make him destroy the
pendant. Or if you can;t do that,
get it away from him and wish that

died. But I cant help thinking if
things had been different, maybe

He reaches in his pocket and grabs a set of handcuffs. He
bends down over Dalos.

31 CASE 2 EPILOGUE - DAY - VARIOUS
FADE IN
There is a brief short full of video clips. The first is
Dalos being taken away by a police car.
VALERIE (VO)
It turned out Sarah was right. The
police remembered that Dalos
escaped and arrested him on the
spot.
Next is Sam talking to Andy.
VALERIE (VO)
They only had Daloss word for the
fact that Sam took the pendant and
because of that, she was let off
the hook because they had no
evidence.
There is a montage of the three victims.
VALERIE (VO)
Ninety percent of people believe
that wishes come true through hard
work. Being in the ten percent, I
hope that whoever releases Dalos
next is prepared.
A picture of an angry Dalos in prison.
VALERIE (VO)
Because I have a feeling he will be
even more conniving the next time
he dares to get his freedom.

She hangs up the phone and places it on the desk. Eliza
picks up her drink and begins to drink it quickly.
ELIZA
You may have stopped Dalos Miss
LeBlanc, but you cannot stop the
power of The Lord.
She bangs the empty bottle down on the table. There is a
clap of thunder and flash of lightning outside. The sound
echos as the scene fades out.
