Dear Ms. Fielder,

As a recent graduate from Arizona State University, I am writing in response to the position
of legal secretary advertised on LinkedIn. The skills that I learned as a Political Science
major along with internships that I've held in my college career make me the ideal
candidate for the position.

During my time as an undergraduate student, I served as a research assistant for Dr. Gina
Woodall, where I collected over one-thousand articles and analyzed more three-hundred of
them. The articles collected covered candidates running for office that form a part of
political dynasties. In the research I conducted latent and manifest content analysis of the
articles on a timely basis. My role in the project also consisted of:
data entry
constant communication/meetings
organization

The research I helped conduct prompted researchers to look back at the past ten years and
the project is currently still ongoing.

I believe my coursework and work experience in research will help meet the needs of the
Jennings, Strouss & Salmon clients and be a resource for the office. I look forward to
