Evaluation Letter
Deciding on a personal story to choose from what pretty confusing. On the first day of the
assignment, I immediately went to the Freewriting exercise to help with my writers block. As the
five minutes of nonstop writing finished, I ended up with mostly scribbles, but I did find myself
writing more about my experiences with high school and friends. So I chose the trip to
Disneyland for Grand Night. After settling on my story, I listed off everything that happened that
day, the settings, the foods, the rides, who was there, and what we said. After that I made a quick
one page summary of what happened that day. Then I began typing my narrative.
I find that my strength in writing is the type of personality I put into it. Its mostly a laid back
kind of tone, kind of like the way I would talk normally. My weakness I would say would be the
lack of proofreading and detail in my writing. I almost never notice any grammar or spelling
mistakes in my papers until after I publish or print it and as for detail, I need to go more in depth
into what Im writing; whats exactly happening, being said and where the story is heading
towards.
