The European Union is a group of countries whose governments work together.


2. The European Union was established in 1957 and there were 27 countries joined in with them.
3. They were Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Denmark, Ireland, UK, Greece,
Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Slovenia,
Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Romania.

5. They try bring the people in Europe together, because that way it will make it easier to sell and buy
things.
6. Its like a school council but instead of people each year they pick a person from each country. They
decide if new laws should be made, and how much the EU should spend.
7. Pro-European people think Britain will benefit from being part of a larger group of countries.
8. They believe the UK is different from other European countries, they worry that the UK is losing
independence and Identity.
9. The Euro is a type of money that 16 countries use in Europe.
10. Different countries have spread all over the European Nations and are taking over.

11. 5 aims are promote economic and social progress, speak for the European Union, introduce
European citizenship, develop Europe as an area of freedom, security, and justice, also maintain and
build on established EU law.
