Deaf people always fingerspell their first
and last name when introducing
themselves.
Why?
The community is small, its a way of identifying
people you may already know or have heard of.
A person can make a connection with someone
they have never met. (Do you know..? Oh yes I
do!)
Introductions

What is your name?
Nice to meet you.
Introduction Activity
You need
Pen/pencil and paper
You will stand up and introduce/meet 5
students you dont know in class.
After you meet someone new, write their
name (first and last) on your paper
Turn in
Colors!
Before you leave today.
