TULSA, Oklahoma On October

after
Johnny
Cade,
Windrixville hero and a member of
Ponyboy and Dallas gang,
murdered Bob Sheldon from west
side Tulsa. The fight ended several
hours later after the gang from the
west side fled. No major injuries
werereported.
Later that night, police
officers shot Dallas Winston, who
robbed a grocery store and was
armed, killing him. The autopsy
shows that the gun was not loaded.
Winston was shot multiple times in
theabdomen.

An interview withCurtisexplains
Winstons actions. According to
Curtis, after the death of hero
Johnny Cade, Dallas Winston ran
out of the hospital after the only
person he loved died. Dallasthen
robbed the store in order to grab
the attentions of the cops. Dallas
raised his gun knowing the gun
was not loaded just so the police
officers would shoot him and
ultimately killing him. I knew he
would be dead, because Dally
Winston wanted to be dead and
he always got what he wanted,
saidCurtis.
Many still claim that
Winston is a hero for pushing
Curtis fromthefireandsavinghim

Others claim that Winston
shouldnt be considered a herofor
