This document summarizes a questionnaire given to students in their first semester of a BA program in Applied Modern Languages at a university in Mexico. Questionnaire for students who have taken KET Courses
This questionnaire was administered to the students in first semester grade B in
the BA program Applied Modern Languages at the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala, Mexico. The objective of the questionnaire is to collect information of the subjects and get to know them better in relation to previous experience they had in English. This questionnaire was divided by six parts: Part I was about personal information, Part II about previous learning experiences, Part II about practices to learn English, Part IV about preferences about how work in activities, Part V about what material they prefer, and Part VI about Topics. In Part I the purpose was to get personal information of the subjects. For this part of the questionnaire, it was used open-ended questions. In part 2 the aim was to obtain information about the subjects previous experience in learning English in this part it was used closed-ended questions: dichotomous questions, leading questions, and liked questions. In Part III the intention was to gain data about what subjects do to learn English by themselves, in this part it was applied close-ended questions: Ordered choice. In part IV the resolve was to procure information about how they prefer to work; it was utilized close-ended questions: Dichotomous questions. In Part V the goal was to obtain data about material subjects prefer to work with, it was use close-ended questions: Ranking questions. In Part V the aim was to get data about topics subjects prefer to learn It was applied close-ended questions: Ranking questions.
