    A 22-year-old female smoker presented at 38 weeks gestation for her third pregnancy. She had a history of a previous miscarriage. Her current pregnancy involved a small for gestational age baby that showed decreased growth. She delivered a baby girl via normal vaginal delivery but the baby became unwell the following day with decreased temperature and respiratory arrest. Despite resuscitation efforts, the baby did not survive and was pronounced dead at 00:35 on March 7, 2009.
