To Whom It May Concern
Student/Intern Teacher
Laveen Elementary School District #59
9401 South 51
st
Avenue
Laveen, AZ 85339

Dear To Whom It May Concern:
I am currently a teaching student at Arizona State University and found your job advertisement on Jobing.com
(http://phoenix.jobing.com/search_results.asp?q=special%20education%20intern). I am pleased to present my resume
to you for a position as a Student Teacher/Intern, with the Laveen Elementary School District #59. With three years of
hands-on teaching experience, I am confident in my ability to help assist teachers and learn more in the education field.
The resume included effectively demonstrates my teaching accomplishments, communicates my passion to give every
student an equal opportunity towards education, and showcases my expertise in the field. Throughout high school, I was
blessed with the opportunity to work as an assistant for a diverse special needs class. Furthermore, I am currently taking
multiple professional development courses at Arizona State University. This has helped improve my teaching techniques
tremendously by learning how to implement engaging activities.
In addicting to being a teaching assistant in high school, I was also a part of a club called Best Buddies. Best Buddies is a
nonprofit organization that consists of volunteers who can create opportunities for people with different types of
disabilities. Over the years, this high school club has gained popularity through my support and awareness on social
media sites.
My greatest strength is my ability to design lesson plans that fulfill both a love for learning and a true appreciation of
helping others who are in need of assistance or have a disability. In my lesson plans, I incorporate many fun hands-on
activities in order to accommodate every type of disability and the severity of it, enhance their life skills, and encourage
learning.
I am confident you will find that my ambition, personal attributes, and hands-on experience will make me a valuable asset
to your educational institution. It would be a pleasure to meet with you to discuss my qualifications. I appreciate you
taking the time out to read this and look forward to our conversation.
Sincerely,
Kathryn Herbert (Student)
