The Art and Culture of the Renaissance

Renaissance means rebirth- It was a time when
people discovered the glory of Ancient Greece
and the grandeur of Rome. Renaissance
flourished in the 14

century in the Italian city
of Florence
MOTIVATION
Observe and give the meaning
of the pictures given.

-The pictures talk about the
things that dancers do
Dance- is a rhythmic activity and a way of life.

Elements of dance:
Content theme- A dance usually tells a story,
conveys an emotion, or expresses an attitude.
The dance uses bodily movements and gestures
to communicate to the audience.
Movement-This is the fundamental element of
dance. Movements are the means by which the
dancer can manifest her emotions and inner
feelings to the audience. Movements maybe
slow, fast or they may accelerate or slow down


The purposes of dance are the following: Dancing
allows one to express oneself; a sense of unity
is found within the dance; dancing provides
physical/mental refreshment and relaxation;
laughter and fun - dancing can provide a lot of
entertainment; and dancing is a form of
exercise.



-Students will be group into 5 groups, every
group will create 32 count dance steps.
- They will give 3 minutes only to practice
EVALUATION

Arrange your chairs properly and prepare a
sheet of paper for we are going to have a quiz.
Evade cheating from your classmates, if you are
caught, there will be consequences you will
come across.

SSIGNMENT
-Bring extra t-shirt and wear
your P.E attire.
