BBC Three have a purple/pink logo as it appeals

to the ages of 16-34 as they enjoy comedy and
these colours resemble a humorous vibe and
gives the viewer an idea of what the channel
broadcasts (comedy). The viewer can rely on the
channel to give them entertainment Also it is
unisex.
BBC One has a simple logo with very simple and mature font this
indicates that the channel is sophisticated and aimed at an older
generation as the shows broadcasted are informing the viewer about
whats happening in the world which is what an older viewer what
like to achieve that knowledge unlike your average younger viewer.
Furthermore, the bright red colour in the logo backs up the fact that
the channel is sophisticated as it shows that the channel is important
as the colour red is deemed to be a rich important colour which the
viewer can relate to and trust that the channel will deliver them
knowledge.
E4 has a wacky logo which is made from bubble writing and has
bright purple colouring which both resembles comedy; it is like a
more comical version of BBC Three as it broadcasts funny shows
which the viewer can tell by this logo. By using this logo E4 has
formed a target audience of 16-34 year olds tuning in to their
channel for some entertainment which is what this age group
look to achieve from watching television. Also it is unisex.
Nickelodeon is a childs channel; the logo resembles this as the
childlike splatter of bright orange paint behind the childlike font,
almost as if a child designed the logo. A child does not particularly
take into account the logo of a channel, only the fact that it is
something for them to look at and this is a perfect design as it is
an icon of childish behaviour and by having this logo it satisfies
the child watching this program as it links into the shows being
broadcasted.
Sky Sports logo is a more masculine logo than any others as
the viewers watching the show are dominantly men,
furthermore this masculine approach to a logo gives of a
sporty theme and Sky Sports broadcast every type of sport. A
sport fan can always relate to this logo as it is the most reliant
to give them the information on a particular sport or
broadcast a particular event live.
MTV broadcast more unique funny shows and up and coming
comedy aimed at ages 16-34. The logo resembles this as it is wacky
coloured and has an odd font. Interestingly, the logo is very eye-
catching to the viewer which relates to the shows which they
broadcast. The channel is more aimed at boys/men and the logo is
very boyish but not masculine as it is a typical boys channel, a
man would not be appealed to the shows which they broadcast.
