9nitially it was a 'it diFcult for me to research a'out Pussy Riot since 9 could only fnd general
information 'ut then 9 rephrased my searches and got more information. # lot of the we'sites
ga,e me the same information as well which kind of showed me which sources were relia'le or
not. The sources were relia'le 'ecause they would ha,e references as well or e,idence which
pro,ed that it<s not made up. inding the importance of Pussy Riot required a 'it of analytical
skills, 9 had to look at it as a whole and make connections which would show the importance of
the group. 9t was also a 'it diFcult since many articles ga,e me the 'asic history of the whole
e,ent.
What 9 found out from the research was that there ha,en<t 'een many acti,ist groups in Russia
how ha,e had a huge impact on the citi*ens, the citi*ens 3ust follow the go,ernment hence a
punk group so it would really gra' people<s attention since there isn<t that much punk inGuence
in Russia 'ecause people don<t understand it well enough (according to the documentary(.
Pussy Riot wanted to 'ring light to the topics of gender and "A&T rights, etc which are usually
ignored.

This research question was easier to research compared to the frst one since it<s a ,ery direct
question and 9 got a lot of results. 9 researched a'out what Pussy Riot had done, the actions
they had taken for Human Rights and found a few results 'ut since the research template has
to ha,e questions rele,ant to the T summaries, 9 didn<t put in all the research 9 had found. 9
mostly put in the eIects of their actions, more specifcally the cause of their arrest, 'ecause
there was a worldwide reaction.
What 9 found out from my research was that Pussy Riot was treated really unfairly compared to
other acti,ist groups in Russia who 3ust had to pay the fee or some 3ail time. 9t really showed
how there is a lack of 'asic human rights in Russia such as the reedom of E6pression to which
no one should 'e limited, it also showed gender inequality.
