1977 - Apple Releases Apple II
1980 Apple Computer, Inc has been created
1981 IBM enters on the PCs Market
1983 Apple II reaches one million units sold
1984 - Apple launches the Macintosh
1985 - The market share of Apple grows from 26% to 80%
1985 Steve Jobs is fired
1986 - IBM started contacts with other firms to manufacture "clones"
1988 Generalization of IBM compatible manufacturing
1989 - Lotus 1, 2, 3 appears on the market
1990 Apple starts to lose market share
1993 Apple II is no longer manufactured (17 years of life and 5 M of units sold)
1994 Apple finally allows clones
1995 Microsoft launches Windows 95
1996 Apple lays off 1300 workers
1998 Apple struggles to survive with a market share in the USA of 3%
1998 - Bill Gates from Microsoft is considered the richest man in the world (the
fourth most is his ex-partner)
1998 - Microsoft buys a substantial part of the Apple Computer, Inc. capital
