Subject: Norms for erection charges and various over-head charges for
preparing cost estimates for turnkey works and departmental works.

Please refer to the instruction no. 32/ 2007/ P&D issued vide this office
memo no: Ch- 112/ DD-169 dated: 11.01.2007 on the above subject.
The norms for erection charges and various over-head charges for
preparing cost estimates for turnkey works and departmental works, circulated above
memo no have been amended as follows:
1. Erection charges for Power transformers, Distribution transformers, VCBs
and all type of cables (HT/LT cables) as well as control cables be taken as
2% cost of material, issued by P&D wing from time to time.
2. Erection charges for balance S/ Stn items be calculated @ 6% of cost of
material. However, no erection charges shall be payable for the items such
as fire extinguishers, table- chair, charts, medical and tool kits etc which do
not require and erection/ minor erection.
3. Erection charges for 33kV line and 11kV line be taken @ 10% of cost of
material.
4. No overhead charges shall be taken into account which is being taken at
present @15% of cost of material.
All the previous instructions/ orders stand superseded by the above
instruction with immediate effect.
The above instructions may be got noted from all concerned for
meticulous compliance.
This issues with the approval of the WTD of DHBVN on NP- 4 of file
LOOSE/ P&D/ D-III.
