Thanks to KQV Radio,
The King of the
Quaker Valley




































Among the Worlds oldest Radio Stations, having its roots as far back as 1912-1918. By 1918
Doubleday Hill Electric Co. was offering Crystal Sets to receive the precursors to the
KQV AM radio signals. KQV officially signed on the air waves on November 19, 1919 as
8ZAE, changing its call letters to KQV (King of the Quaker Valley) in January, 1921, and
being officially granted this designation by the FCC on January 9, 1922.
