Literacy Inquiry:
We will be reading some great books: Cliffords First Day School, Going on a Bear
Hunt, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, The kissing hand and Teacher Sleep at School
We will be learning how to use Scissors, how to use a glue stick, some tracing activities
and many more.
Math Inquiry:
- We will be introducing Unifex cubes, exploring with bear counters, reading Five Little
Monkeys and using the books monkey puppets, learning about one to one correspondence
with number 1-5 and many other fun activities
Dear Parents,
Congratulations! Your little ones have grown and have successfully finished the first week of Kin-
dergarten! Ms.Reem and I have had lots of fun with the kids this week and we are totally looking
forward to another great week with them. Kindly find below a brief about what we will be doing
this coming week:
Unit of Inquiry:
-We will be discussing two of our Learner Profile attributes: Thinker and Communicator.
- Our first Unit of Inquiry is:How We Organize Ourselves .Central Idea: Systems help us
live and learn together.
-Activities include : Introduce What a system is? What things need to be able to work?
( a car need tires, etc) and exploring and demonstrating, What are good Manners?
Show and Tell: Thursdays are
usually our letter of the week sharing
day! This week since we are still
working on class routines and intro-
ductions, please help your child bring
something that he/she chooses to
share with the class .Thanks
