Evaluation

I am producing a short film for the Montreal film festival that will last a minimum of 30 seconds. It
will be of the Action/Adventure genre and will also be a stop-motion animation. This will teach me
skills I can use in future animations. Keeping to the briefs 30 second minimum will prove a challenge
as it will require me to produce a high quality frame-rate stop-motion animation, this will develop
my attention to detail and patience making sure everything frame is consistent. It will greatly
improve my skills on set design as it will be the first time I have gone into detail for set design.
Keeping to the briefs 12 character maximum should be easy as I will give me a better chance to work
on my character development skills. Also as it will be one of the few times Ill be working with
materials for a stop motion animation such as clay, play dough, blutack etc. I will be developing my
creation of characters and props. I was able to contribute to the brief by negotiating the length of
the animation and the genres I can use, this negotiation will help develop my negotiation skills for
future projects. It will also finally improve my overall multi-skilling as I will be self-teaching myself
how to produce a whole animation production by myself.
