slot. This document goes into many details about the cost based on what the customer
needs, but also has many cases from the past to analyze costs as well as predicting where
the market for parking decks will go in the future. There is also a breakdown for the city of
charlotte showing that a parking deck would cost around $14000 per slot and $42 per square
foot.

The FAQ for UNCC has mention of the fact that they sell more parking passes than there are
spaces available proving that there is a lack of spaces available to students and faculty.
They also do mention the reason why they do this, which was they only have peak traffic
during the first few weeks while everyone situates themselves with textbooks, parking
passes, class schedules, and meetings. After that time things settle down and there is more
parking available for those who commute daily.

commuters. UNCC has 14,000 parking spaces, but expects to give out around 17,000
