Users
(ESS User)
ERP Users Categorisation:
The ERP Users are broadly categorized as follows
based on their role in SAP system.
ERP Transaction Users:
These Users will perform their day-to-day business
activity through SAP ECC by executing SAP
transaction codes. These Users will have access to
EP/ESS-MSS/ECC/DMS/Email.
ERP Non Transaction Users (ESS Users):

These Users will have access to Employee Portal and
SAP -Employee Self Service module only.

ERP Transaction Users:
Fixed Position Based User:
If the number of Identified ERP Transaction Users to the
number of similar sanctioned Position is equal, then that Position is
identified as Fixed Position.
Example: In Circle Office Position of SE is One and Identified
User for SE is also One, hence the Position SE is a Fixed User
Position.
Variable Position Based User
If the number of Identified Transaction Users is lesser than the
number of similar sanctioned Positions, then that Position is
identified as Variable Position.
Example: In 400 kV Substation Operations- the Identified ERP
Transaction User for DYEE-operation is only One (1) no. and
sanctioned DYEE positions are Four (4) nos., hence the Position
DYEE-operation is a Variable User Position.

Notes for Password
Remembering the password and maintaining secrecy of your account is
the End User responsibility.
For security reasons, the repeated password reset request will be tracked
and will be notified to your Reporting Officer.
End User should specify in which ERP system (i.e. SAP-EP/ECC/DMS/Email )
their User ID to be unlocked and password to be reset.
Accordingly, based on the system, the End User should send the email to
following Admin Email IDs;
For SAP related : erpadmin@mahatransco.in
For DMS related : dmsadmin@mahatransco.in
For Email related: mailadmin@mahatransco.in
After End User receives the reply email, it is the End User responsibility
to login to the application and change the password immediately.
